The sea at all times
Activities around the sea are predominant in Saint Quay Portrieux. Ranking 5th amongst France's fishing ports and 1st for scallop fishing, Saint Quay Port d'Armor is the only deep water harbour in North Brittany. High seas ships, fishing boats and over a thousand yachts are gathered here. The old harbour has kept all its Breton charm.
Water-sports
The water-sports club and the leisure centre offer sailing courses ranging from initiation level to top level and regattas, on all types of embarkation: live-in sail boats, kayak, dinghies and you will surrender to the charms of this coastline. Saint Quay Port d'Armor is the ideal place for sailing races in Channel waters.
Sea fishing
Aboard a trawler, go out to sea and learn how to be a fisherman, catching fish, scallops or crustaceans. An exceptional meeting with a fisherman who will explain the crustacean's journey from his boat to your plate.
Boat trips to Brehat Island
Departures from Saint Quay Port d'Armor in season. An unforgettable crossing, passing along the highest cliffs in Brittany and arriving on the "Armor Pearl", Brehat Island.
A resort leisure pleasure
Some of the best beaches in Côtes d'Armor: Casino beach, Chatelet beach and the most original Countess beach which changes colour with the tides and becomes almost black. This phenomena is due to the presence of black ilmenite crystals.
A sports resort
A holiday activity centre for schoolchildren, a leisure centre for 13 to 18 years old offering water-sports, other sports and a lot of fun. Open air and under cover tennis courts, 18 holes Ajoncs d'Or Golf Course, mountain biking, cycle touring, sea water swimming pool, horse riding centres and beach volley.
Life size emotion
From the custom walkway you'll discover the resort on the coast side with superb views over Saint Quay islands, shell fishing paradise, Harbour Island and its house surmounted by a lighthouse, Countess Island, only accessible at low tide. Discover also a rich heritage and a charming resort with beautiful villas, manors and a Casino open all year round for mad euro evenings.
Heritage
Notre Dame de la Garde de Kertugal Chapel, Saint Quay Fountain, Saint Michel Mill, Sainte Anne du Portrieux Chapel, in the heart of the old harbour, the picturesque narrow streets called: Icelanders, Fishermen and Rising Sun.
