IN THE HEART OF NATURE
Callot Island custom walkways: 18 km along the coast with the Morlaix bay ornithological reserve as a backdrop. One of the best routed walkways in the region.
Notre Dame de Callot Chapel: listed historical monument. Religious procession mid-august. For a visit to Callot Island, see tide timetables.
Beach Fishing: Pleasant activity during high tides season. To help you, ask for a leaflet (regulation, advice and recipe) at the Touris Information Centre.
Bi-cross: above the kélenn beach, free hlmet and protections are strongly advised.
Semi-marathon on Ascension Day: Race from Carantec via the beautiful "route de la corniche", around the river to Plouezoch'.
Claude Goude Park: two hectares of park offering a remarkable setting and a sample collection of Brittany trees.
Outdoor paintings sessions: Create your road book with personal drawings and paintngs. Details trom the Tourist Information Centre. April, July and August.
Golf: a unique 9 holes course right on the sea edge. A green casket open all year round for players of all levels.

Let's set sail: the water-sports centre and Point Passion Plage put forward a la carte formulas; tuition, private lessons and hire of equipment
Children fist: Club Moussaillons will initiate children to water-sports; optimists courses for fist timers or all levels of experience.
Beach club:during the summer, on one of Carentec most pleasant beaches, children are invited to join in all sorts of games and competitions amongst friends.
Skin-diving: several formulas at your disposal
Beaches: in Carentec, you'll be spoiled for choice; 7 beaches of fine sand, not to mention the beaches on Callot Island and several small creeks.
Other activities: sea rowing, aquatic club and mini-golf in "les Mouettes" campsite open to the public all summer long. Tennis: clay or synthetic surface courts, in the open air or under cover. Cinema, library, Sea Museum, bridge club.
IN THE HEART OF FLAVOURS
Carantec chefs know how to seduce your taste buds with their fine cuisine, inspired from the Breton land and sea: fish, shell fish, crustaceous, oysters...crepes galettes or kouign amann. Traditions to be sampled at the best tables.
Market: a rendez-vous you should not miss on Thursday mornings from 8am until 1pm.

Harvest Festival:
On Sunday, august 5th 2007, the harvest festival draws in lots of visitors. Breton mass with Karneriens San Karanteg Choirs, old-fashioned threshing, Breton dances, fest-noz on a proper wooden floor. |

Notre Dame de Callot religious festival:
One of the most well known in the area drawing in hundred of pilgrims. On august 19th 2007 on Callot Island. Dressed in their local costumes and holding beautiful banners, the procession leaves the harbour towards Notre Dame de Callot Chapel for mass.
