AUTUMN, WINTER, SPRING....
Time for long walks with the family round the Atlantic and Morbihan Gulf shores. Carefree and revitalized, you may wish to improve this well being with a thalassotherapy cure in the Louison Bobet centre. Here, you follow nature's slow rhythm, take time for living and explore a well protected unspoiled area.
SEA
The sea is everywhere around Arzon. All year round, sky and tides create a brightness and a mood appreciated by painters and photographers. Large and small beaches are kept apart by rocky points, especially on Morbihan Gulf coast. You can hire a boat and go island hopping or start a sailing course at the sailing school (april to October), go fishing or be initiated to skin-diving. Sea kayaks are also a marvellous way to discover the Gulf.
BOAT TRIPS IN THE MORBIHAN GULF - Unforgettable!
For a day or just an afternoon, leave Port Navalo aboard a cruising launch (possible halt on Ile aux Moines). Take a map to follow the boat's course through the multitude of islands and fairways (april to October). Several traditional sailships also offer day trips round the Gulf.
EXPLORING NATURE
All year round, the tourist office organises nature jaunts particularly targeted on migrating birds nesting in the Gulf during winter (October to may). There, you'll meet a permanent immigrant: the Nile Sacred Ibis which has adopted our region for good.
HISTORICAL HERITAGE
Rhuys Peninsula has always drawn South Brittany enthusiasts: the Brittany Dukes, nobles, major religious congregations....They have left architectural traces: chateaux, Chapels, windmills, Abbey, all worth a visit.
WALKS AND BIKE RIDES
They could be the main feature of your holiday. Pathways along the shore await you. You'll be able to forget your daily worries and, like Arzon inhabitants, store up with simple and invigorating emotions (free of charge!). You can bring your own bike or hire one here.
WHAT ELSE?
Sports: tennis, 18 holes golf course, horse-riding
Gastronomy: seafood, crepes and galettes, oysters, cider, Breton cakes
Night life: pubs, nightclubs, cinema, casino and evenings between friends.
HELLO CHILDREN
Kings of this land, particularly during school holidays, children can enjoy specific activities organised by the tourist office: discovery, evenings, Breton games....Of course, they can also join the sailing school or the kayak club, or simply accompany you on a walk.
